My block is stuck in my end view boundry

My block is stuck in my end view boundry

My block is stuck in my end view boundry

(OP)
I have a block that seems to be in the same view boundry as my end view.  When I try to move my end view, the block(which is a chart, and is exploded) comes along with it.  This happens to me often.  What am I doing wrong?

Thanks to everyone and happy holidays!!!

RE: My block is stuck in my end view boundry

I have noticed the same thing. when I insert a block onto the sheet, it attaches to a view (usually my end view, but I think its just the closest view of my insertion point).

The only fix i have found is once I insert the block on the sheet, I copy it, then make sure I am not in the view & then paste it.

Thank you CADFlyer!  That worked, but I would like to find out how to avoid this situation in the future if anyone knows.

RE: My block is stuck in my end view boundry

Before placing the block, right mouse click on the sheet (away from any views), and select Lock Sheet Focus.

RE: My block is stuck in my end view boundry

Just look for the blue dotted boundary of view as you try to drop the block......try to change drop  location if that boundary(of any view) becomes visible....once dropped you can drag anywhere it will not attach to anything.

If the views are bigg & overlapping...........try to drop the block out of sheet & then drag it.

RE: My block is stuck in my end view boundry

I like my blocks dropped on a view.
Then if I move the view the block also moves.

An empty view can also be placed, specifically for holding notes or blocks.
