data input into pls tower

(OP)
I wonder if anyone could offer any advice.  We are currently modelling towers using pls tower and would like to automate the input into the software.  It uses a .lca file which we can view in word or excel but when we alter the values in the .lca file and try upload them into pls tower, it doesnt recognise the document as a .lca file.  Does anyone have any advice on how to upload data into pls tower using word or excel?  I have attached an example file, we would like to change the values in this file and upload it to pls tower.
Thanks

RE: data input into pls tower

They are just text files, so any text editor such as notepad or textpad will work.

Word/Excel might work if you save it as text instead of *.doc/.xls however they still have a tendency change more than you intended.

PLS does caution that the files are not necessarily intended for manual editing, so it is possible to crash the program or cause a hidden error if the format in not quite right.  Power Line Systems has always been very responsive to my questions, so it may be a good idea to run your ideas by them.
