Phase Connection

Phase Connection

(OP)
Hi Jghrist,

In one of the last posts, you had commented
"Keep in mind that if you have R-Y-B East to West for a DYn1 transformer facing North and R-Y-B East to West for a DYn1 transformer facing South, you will have a 60° phase difference in the secondaries and you won't be able to get the phases correct by rolling the secondary phases"

I am struggling with some thing similar. Pardon my ignorance about the subject. Could you please show it with a picture or a rough sketch.

I would appreciate.

Thanks

RE: Phase Connection

I'm not jghrist, but as a hint - remember that there is a 30 degree phase shift between the primary and secondary of a delta-wye transformer.
