I searched here via Google, found the following relevant:
thread559-199521: Problem Converting Cone To Sheet Metal Part

I am having troubles trying to Flatten a cone built via the Lofted Bend method.  My cone is a little more complicated as it has a, overlapping edge and Tab & Slot features... or at least that is what I am trying to accomplish.  I get an error stating that one of my Flatten-<Freeform Bends> cannot be unbent.

The purpose for the model is to be able to get the flat pattern with the locations of the tab and slot for securing the open edge of the cone.  I'm hoping that new tricks were devised for SW09?

Gwubs, yes, that's as far I can get, but I didn't use Edge Flange features.  Once I start to cut material away from the flange to make the tab (middle third of flange area), that is when the errors begin.

Here it is SW09 model, no tab/slot features in this since it keeps failing on me.  I don't think it is possible to model what I want using sheet metal features due to the geometry.  I'll probably have to go with two interlocking tabs with simple slits to hold the seam together.

RE: Lofted Bend Sheet Metal Cone

Are you using the unfold/fold feature?

Unsuppressing my Flat-Pattern, not using the Fold/Un-fold features.  You wouldn't think this would be so hard...
