I understand their is a spec or code put out by IBC concerning corrosion protection into concrete based on its diameter.  Can anyone locate this for me

Thanks

RE: Anchor Bolts - Galvinized

Anchor bolts are usually not galvanized.

If there is a code requirement for additional corrosion protection, it will be in the code....look for it.

RE: Anchor Bolts - Galvinized

In my industry, anchor bolts are usually galvanized since our structures sit outside in the weather and sometimes near saltwater.  We galvanize out a-bolts full length because they are stored outside before use, but many in our industry galvanize just the threads plus a few inches that stick out of the foundation but we are talking about #18 jumbo rebar bolts that are 12 feet long.  Our bigger bolts are F1554 (IIRC) up to 3" diameter with a nut on the bottom.
