Analysis Warnings: Explanations

Analysis Warnings: Explanations

Analysis Warnings: Explanations

(OP)
Hello All,

I often recieve these 3 warnings when running a data check: can anyone explain these and how to resolve them?

"Path based tracking is defined in contact pair (assembly__pickedsurf18,assembly_rigid_disc_2-1_rigid_disc_2). Path based tracking cannot be used with analytical rigid master surfaces, the state based tracking algorithm will be used instead.

OVERCONSTRAINT CHECKS: THERE ARE 16815 BOUNDARY CONDITIONS SPECIFIED IN THIS MODEL. OVERCONSTRAINT CHECKS FOR BOUNDARY CONDITIONS SPECIFIED ON SLAVE NODES OF RIGID BODIES, OF *TIE OPTIONS, OR OF *COUPLING OPTIONS REQUIRE 6 Mb OF MEMORY. IF THIS IS A PROBLEM, PLEASE TURN OFF OVERCONSTRAINT CHECKS USING *CONSTRAINT CONTROLS, NO CHECKS or INCREASE THE MEMORY USED BY THE PRE-PROCESSOR.

Boundary conditions are specified on inactive dof of 8406 nodes. The nodes have been identified in node set WarnNodeBCInactiveDof."

Many Thanks

RE: Analysis Warnings: Explanations

(OP)
Also, when I run a particular analysis the following error pops up:

"The following parts or part instances contain both modified quadratic triangle elements and regular quadratic elements, wich are incompatible:

DISC_1

Review the assigned element types or mesh controls"

I assigned the whole part as the following element type:

CPS8R: An 8-node biquadratic plane stress quadrilateral, reduced integration

Any advice would be much appreciated
