It would be great if You could answer some qestions about STAAD.Pro:
1. Does STAAD.Pro take into account geometrical and material non-linearities in prestressed concrete calculations?
2. Does STAAD.Pro compute short-term (elastic shortening, friction,anchorage draw-in) and long-term (shrinkage, creep, steel relaxation)losses?
3. I have modeled a beam using plate elements with a steel bar inside, when I assign temperature or strain for steel bar, beam changes it's curvature. How correct that method is? Does the program understand that the steel bar and concrete take all strain (load)
together?

2. STAAD.Pro can provide you with the immediate elastic shortening, but does not consider friction, anchorage draw-in, or any long-term losses.
3. If you assigned a temperature load to the steel bar, the program will distribute the load in proportion to the stiffness of the concrete and the bar, but the distribution will also depend upon how you have interconnected the bar with the mesh of plates.
