cutter compensation cavity mill & zlevel

(OP)
Hello guys

I am trying to apply cutter compensation ( non cutting moves )on Cavity and Z level ops.

According to NX6 documentation :

Output Contact/ Tracking Data is available for Face Milling, Planar Milling, and Cavity Milling operations.
When using this option, one or more finish profile passes can be added to your operation that allows the cutter to be positioned to the part by contact points rather than centerline points.

On Face Milling & Planar Milling it works fine ,but on Cavity and Z-level I don't see any changes on the displayed  path.

Can anyone please advice on  how to do that on these 2 ops .
Is it a post build option on that ??

Many Thanks :).

RE: cutter compensation cavity mill & zlevel

To use cutter compensation in a cavity mill operation, you need to check the "Add finish passes" box under Cutting parameters -> Strategy.

Output Contact/ Tracking Data cutter comp is not available for Z-level profile operations due to the complexity involved with the "cut between levels" option. (Or so I was told)
