Short Circuit Study with Frequency Converter

Short Circuit Study with Frequency Converter

Short Circuit Study with Frequency Converter

(OP)
Good morning,

I am doing a short circuit study that includes a 50/60Hz frequency converter. I have never modeled one of these devices before and moreover, I have nearly 0 information on it besides the frequency and MVA rating. The modeling software used is ETAP.
I was thinking of treating it in 1 of two ways:
1) treat it like a synchronous generator and find some typical values for the given size (it is about 20MVA)

2)For 50Hz side: Calculate the short circuit current on the 60Hz side, use this as a "utility availability" and then model the 50Hz side as a transformer with the given MVA rating (using a typical impedance for the transformer)connected to the utility availability.

Does this sound reasonable?

Thanks in advance for the help.
