Transformers& overcurrent protection

(OP)
On a current project I have an electrician that has questioned my circuit breaker sizing on the primary and secondary of a dry transformer. The engineer i work for said that my breaker sizes were correct, however, the electrician's vendor says the breaker is oversized. Is there an industry standard for overcurrent protection on transformers?

RE: Transformers& overcurrent protection

If you are in the US, I expect that would be the NEC.

Check into NEC 450.3 & 450.4.
