Changing SWBOM Column Headers

Changing SWBOM Column Headers

Changing SWBOM Column Headers

(OP)
I have tried and searched but no luck.  I need to change the column headers for the SWBOM but am not having much luck.  ITEM NO. should be NO. and PART NUMBER should be PART NO.  Where does SW pull those default headers from?

Thanks

RE: Changing SWBOM Column Headers

I disagree that it should be as you stated, but you can change the Header title to whatever you want to see. Just double click the cell to change its contents.

The 'behind-the-scenes' properties being referred to in the columns are the SW defaults.

Hi CBL,
I did try that before asking the forum.  I changed the titles and then saved the template (overwrite).  When I brought in the table it did not save the changes.

RE: Changing SWBOM Column Headers

I just tried the template overwrite. it is the perfect way. there is something wrong with your File location paths.

make sure you can see the new template in the "Table Template" box in property manager while inserting the new BOM. If not change the file location or add new file location in options.

Hi EEnd,
The setting from that thread is working for me and this seems to be a different issue.

Hi all,
OK, it is now working.  For some reason when I saved the template as a new file rather than overwrite it works fine.  Thanks to all for your help.

RE: Changing SWBOM Column Headers

It works fine for me, but I'm running SW2010-SP0. What SW version and SP are you using?

Are you sure you are inserting the correct BOM? Try saving the BOM template as a completely different name and make sure it is the one being referenced.
