I have a question for interpreting Section 304.1 out of the
2006 International Fuel Gas Code (IFGS).
Taking a test on it and I need to understand this section.
How do I know when the requirements of section 304.5 are NOT met, and outdoor air NEEDS to be introduced in accordance with sections 304.6 thru 304.9??
Section 304.5.1 states:"...minimum required volume shall be 50 cubic feet per 1,000 Btu/h of the appliance input rating."
Do I go to 304.6 thru 304.9 when the volume of the space that houses the appliance(s) is below the "minimum required volume" as stated in 304.5.1??
I do not have a commentary on the 2006 IFGS, so I thought I'd put these questions out there for an answer.

We use NFPA 54, and off memory, you require two opening, one at 12" above finished floor and one at 12" below finished floor. The opening needs to be 1 in^2 per 2000 Btu if horizontal connection to the outdoors
Look at IMC (mechanical) Ch 7 is combustion air, and it refers to IFGS
