Underground Garage Ventilation

Underground Garage Ventilation

(OP)
Hello...Could someone help me on underground garage ventilation. I need some standards that I can use for my calculation. I've found that a lot of calculations are made acc. to DIN 18232, but I don't have that DIN...Can someone guide to some website for this DIN or eve better if someone have this DIN...Or some samples of calculations of this kind.

Thanks in advance

RE: Underground Garage Ventilation

We use the IMC 2003, and it requires the system to be capable to exhaust 1.5 cfm/sf.

knowledge is power

RE: Underground Garage Ventilation

Canadian Building Code calls for 0.75 cfm / sqft... and those fans hardly ever run. I can't imagine how much run time a fan system sized at 1.5 cfm / sqft would run.

RE: Underground Garage Ventilation

I would base my CFM on whatever regulation is applicable to your situation but also I would double check my CFM with the NIOSH permissible exposure CO, NOx CO2 and total particulate levels.
