Effects of weight in static analysis

Effects of weight in static analysis

Effects of weight in static analysis

(OP)
Hello:

I would like to include WEIGHT in my structural model. I did it by using DENSITY in MATERIAL PROPERTY. By comparing the results obtained with/without DENSITY, I did not see any difference. Can we use DENSITY in static analysis to include the weight load in static analysis?

Could you please advice me how to include the weight of the structural components in ABAQUS model.

Thank you.

RE: Effects of weight in static analysis

Add a gravity load.

for many types there isn't a lot of difference (remember statics, basic strength of materials - we never used it there)
