I'm currently working  in an assy, trying to move things around, and am haveing a hard time because I click the part face that I can see, but it selects an edge or vertex of something behind the part.  I have the selection filters toggled off.  Normally the most visible face or suface is the first to be selected in my experience.  Has anyone seen this?

RE: selection hierarchy, visible face vs a vertex on the other side of mdl

Do you have any transparent parts? Under System Options>Display/Selection do you have "Enable selection through transparency" checked?

RE: selection hierarchy, visible face vs a vertex on the other side of mdl

Go to Tools > Options > System Options > Display/Selection and deselect Allow selection in HLR and shaded modes

That was it CBL.  For some the obvious is not so much.
As usual you saved the day and rule.
