Fine/Coarse Adjustment of Plate
Fine/Coarse Adjustment of Plate
(OP)
Hello,
I am looking for ways of moving a plate in an axial direction. There is a secondary plate that I want to move rotationally as well. There needs to be fine adjustment available so that a person can rotate the plate 1-2 degrees and lock in the location of the plate. The same holds true for the axial translation. I was thinking possibly a knob, worm gear, cam assembly would be the answer but wanted to get some more feedback.
Thanks,
Kevin

You can also buy just the micrometer head:

For rotary, maybe a movable block on the rotating table that the micrometer (and spring) adjust against.

Here are some differential screw adjusters. You can get most any accuracy you desire. Look around.

Here is a goniometer that maybe of interest. They are others on the market that maybe less expensive.
