Welding mitered corners of sq. tubing.

Gentlemen,

I was wondering what kind of weld you would use to weld mitered corners of 2" sq. x 1/8" wall steel tubing?  I am looking to have a fixture made and need to specify a weld on the drawing and I really do not know the proper weld here.

Thanks,

Mike

RE: Welding mitered corners of sq. tubing.

I'd suggest using the same joint & weld symbol you used for the rest of the joint (possibily square butt).  Those thin edges will quickly burn off and not effect partial or full penetration even using GMAW-SC.
