(OP)
EGC (equipment grounding conductor)originating at service switchboard is bonded to 480V, Y-connected generator's equip bonding terminal. Ground ring at genset is bonded to genset neutral and to EGC. Genset is approx 400 ft from switchboard. There are no 277 loads so there is no NEUTRAL conductor.

Q1: Does this comply with NEC ?

Q2: If yes, is it the best design idea ?
