Galvanized Spool Modification

Galvanized Spool Modification

Galvanized Spool Modification

(OP)
Hi,

Problem: Internal damaged galvanizing due to welding

Proposal: Because of extent of damage area is very small magnitude compare with the over-all length the contractor
recommended that:-
1) if the location is near by open end such as flanges, galvanized paint shall be applied internally as practicable
2) if distanced from such open end, then damaged repair shall be made on outer surface only

Any opinion/advise on the above recommendation?
