When I look at the input and output data files, I see some words start with "F" some with "FW" and some have nothing.

I'm guessing it has something to do with the Panelview reading and writing to those I/O. Is that correct?

RE: F & FW RSLogix

I believe that the F stands for Forced and the W stands for usage as a word. This occurs in RsLogix 500.

RE: F & FW RSLogix

If you open the input file and click on the Help button, there should be some explainations of the usage characters.

.    Not being used in the project file
X    Being used in the project file
W    Being used as a word address in the file
F    Being used as a file address in the project
WF    Being used as a word within a file in the project

Doh! I don't know why it didn't occurred to me to click on that help button. Thanks.
