Making Autocad drawing from SW model

Making Autocad drawing from SW model

Making Autocad drawing from SW model

(OP)
I have made several models complete with drawings. I now need to make a template as a go, no-go gauge. The company that is going to cut the templates claims he needs the drawing in Autocad format....
So, is there an easy way to take the information from my sketch and make a Autocad drawing?  I made a rough draft tonight by having SW (2009)open on one monitor and getting the properties of each element in my sketch. Then transferring that information to Autocad on a second monitor.. tedious and time consuming... is there an easier way? Tried copying / pasting lines but.. did not seem to work.

Thanks for any advice..

RE: Making Autocad drawing from SW model

Save As *.dwg and check the settings to be sure that you are exporting at 1:1 then do a double check in AutoCAD just to be sure that they are truely 1:1 scale.

Thanks.. I was hoping there was a way without making a new drawing. But, that may still be the easier method.
