Steam Training Provider

(OP)
I am a Mechanical Engineer and am looking to find a good training course on steam systems.  I'm working with a client that is upgrading their boiler plants and I will be doing some commissioning down the line with them.  They have low pressure steam systems with very large boilers (up to 600bph).

I've become familiar with steam systems as I have worked with this client but would really like to take a formal training class to learn more about boiler and distribution system operation.  Anybody have recommendations on good training providers.  I'm in Atlanta but location does not matter.

Thanks!

RE: Steam Training Provider

sarah..

Some suggestions if you are dealing with industrial systems:

First, purchase the book "STEAM" by B&W...its the best money I have ever spent for the quality of the book.

Second, review some of the information on the internet about boilers and steam distribution systems.

Some suggestions if you are dealing with steam heating systems:

Good luck..!!

saraGT,

I concur with davsy. The spiraxwebsite has links to their technical reference books - Blue Book for steam 101 and their Red Hook-ups book. Also online tutorials. Main training facility is at HQ in Blythewood, SC
