Trench boxes on sloping embankment
Trench boxes on sloping embankment
(OP)
Has anyone used a trench box on a sloping embankment?
The final state is easy to achieve but doing a stage analysis for its stability during construction is very difficult.
Any advice would be appreciated.

How much unbalance are we talking about?
Holes do not need to be dug tight to the box and often are not. You can either dig the box in before you set it or partially dig the hole then set the box and then finish excavating and pushing the box down. Be sure the box is designed to do this. These are big boxes. Typically over about 3 meters the boxes are stacked.
I would sugesst you talk to the box manufacterer for answers to your specific questions.
