Battery charger - help please

Battery charger - help please

Battery charger - help please

(OP)
Hi

I have undertaken a project for which I have to build a battery charger. Here are the specifications for the charger, It has to synchronously charger up to 4 batteries synchronously.

I am at a point where I am looking for the design alternatives for the battery charging part. The first alternative I had was to use charge using the microcontrolller, secondly I am thinking to use IC's ( that I have found from texas instruments) which basically exist for charging multi chemistry batteries.

I need more alternatives because I feel There could be other better ways of going about this.

thanks you for your help
