Lock Mate

Lock Mate

Lock Mate

(OP)
I am trying to use the "Lock Mate" option because the help file states that it is similar to having an assembly in the "rigid" form.  However, when doing an exploded view the two items that are "locked together" do not move together and have to be selected seperately.  Am I doing this wrong?

Thanks,
BB

RE: Lock Mate

Explodes only respect assys and sub-assys, not mates.  I fall the mates were condiered, you would not be able to explode anything.

RE: Lock Mate

You could possibly save a Selection set that would allow you to pick a link from the advanced selection menu if added to your favorites. This should allow you to pick 2 specific components even if you have multiple instances.

Or you could make a virtual subassembly and use select subassembly to move all parts in subassembly.
