Battery Indicator Light Problems

Battery Indicator Light Problems

(OP)
I have a 94 Ford Escort LX Sedan and recently I just put a performance K&N air-filter on it.  After that the "check battery light has been coming on often.  It doesn't really happen at a certain time but it's been coming on lately.  I took it to Auto Zone and they tested my battery and alternator with some sort of plug in machine, and stated that they were both in good working condition.  Could there be another explanation why this light is coming on?

Thanks,
Ryan
