Unigraphics NX 5.0 and NX Nastran 6.0

(OP)
I'm new to using Nastran for FEA and I'm kind of at a loss here. Does anyone have a tutorial on a simple analysis using NX Nastran 6.0 with Unigraphics NX 5.0.

I am getting a license error when I try to run my calculation, but I'm not sure if I'm just not doing something correctly or if it is a licensing issue. I spoke to GTAC and they state I have the correct licenses, but suggested maybe I can't use Unigraphics NX 5.0 with NX Nastran 6.0.

Can anyone help?

I was able to get the issue resolved by contacting GTAC again.

When I was running the Solution it was stating: "Results file was not found. Check FE analysis run."

So it was not creating the file, which was due to the date check issue. I saw that before but was not sure how to resolve.

You need to go to support.ugs.com, sign in > Downloads and Uploads > Product Updates, select NX Nastran > patch/ > Click version (my case 6.0/) and download NXN6_date_chk_patch/ and replace the analysis.exe into your current directory.
