fixed part/moveable part

(OP)
Hi,

I would like to know if it is possible to designate a part as a fixed or moveable part. Does this depend on the order the parts are added to the assembly?

I am having difficulty constraining my assembly as I cannot choose faces on one of the parts as it does not seem to be considered either moveable or fixed.

Thank You,

FM

RE: fixed part/moveable part

Hi FM,

I guess if a part is "movebale" or "fixed" is entirely defined in the boundary conditions. It does not have an effect in which order the parts are added to an assembly.

If you cannot choose a face (probably because your other geometries are complex and hide this certain part) try to define a set for this face, and constrain this set in the boundary conditions.
