Installing SW 2009 on Windows 7

Installing SW 2009 on Windows 7

(OP)
Our company recently purchased new Dell Precision computers for all of our engineering dept.  The IT dept and management would like to keep the Windows 7 OS (x64) on the computers.

Because of that, I was wondering if anyone could provide some advice or tips on installing SW 2009 on computers with Windows 7 (x64). Is is pretty straight forward?  Anything special need to be done? I am fully aware that SW09 is not supported under Windows 7 and is also not supported by our VAR but have seen some internet traffic stating it has been done successfully.  This is just temporary until SW2010 sp1.0 comes out.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

RE: Installing SW 2009 on Windows 7

I am very much looking forward to Windows 7 with Solidworks 2010.
Our company has put Windows 7 on 2 computers here with Solidworks 2010 just for testing and so far it looks great.
