i am trying to somehow make a strip about 3 inches by 4 feet that will transmit the data of the pressures to my computer.  Is such a device avalible to purchase, or will i have to build one. btw...it needs to be capable of handeling a lot of pressure...around 100 psi

You might contact MSI, Inc.  In Seattle, Wa.  They may be able to supply you with a load-cell system that can measure minute deflection and calculate load pressures.

That's Measurement Systems Inc.  They make the load-cells for truck scales to the smallest you could imagine.
