Move detail view

Move detail view

(OP)
Hi

Does anybody knows if it's possible to move a detail view (simple stepped section line)
from one parent view to another parent view. I have the same geometry in both views

When I delete a parent view my detailed view will be deleted as well.

I know it's possible to select view boundary on the section views parent view and make the parent view very small so all the lines in the view will be hided and then move the section line to another view, but I would prefer a methoed without all these "empty" views.

Hope someone has a solution.

Thanks

RE: Move detail view

Sorry, but there is no mechanism in NX which would allow you to reassign (change) the parent view of an existing Section View.

RE: Move detail view

Just move the parent view to another sheet if you don't want to see it. Alternatively you might just edit the view boundary so that it is reduced to white space and nothing of the parent view appears on the drawing. Lastly you can convert the view to reference so that it exists but doesn't appear.

If the base view has section lines you can display the label on the section view as you may wish (or not) but by editing the style it is possible to set the section lines themselves to No Display.
