(OP)
Hi looking for a good reference book with lots of examples of piping design and pump design.  I've been out of this design & engineering field for several years.  Mostly working in Management.  Also is there a good link with general rules of thumb?  Thanks in advance, Bernie

RE: ISO reference material

"Fluids Mechanics/Dynamics Problem Solver"
by Research Education Association

"Pumping accounts for 20% of the world's energy used by electric motors and 25-50% of the total electrical energy usage in certain industrial facilities."-DOE statistic (Note: Make that 99% for pipeline companies) http://virtualpipeline.spaces.live.com/

RE: ISO reference material

Bernee...

My condolences on your time spent "in Management" I only hope and pray that you did not pick up an MBA....

"This design & engineering field" has not changed very much in the past several years.

Some books to start with:

Piping Handbook:

http://www.amazon.com/Piping-Handbook-Mohinder-Nayyar/dp/0070471061

Pump Handbook:

http://www.amazon.com/Pump-Handbook-Igor-Karassik/dp/0071460446/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=books&qid=1256732961&sr=1-1

Exactly what type of work do you hope to be doing ?
