changing background color

Hi (and thanks in advance).  I don't normally use AutoCAD but right now I'm having to use it.  I have a drawing up and the color is black lines on white background.  I'd like to have the black background.  (Using ACAD 2000) How do I change the background color.  Thanks again for the help.

Regards,
SrG.

RE: changing background color

Right click in the command line and select "Options".  Go to the "Drafting" tab and click "Colors..." under "Autosnap Settings".  Under "Context" select "2D model space", under "Interface element" select "Uniform background", under "Color" select "Black".  That should do it.  At least that works for AutoCAD 2004 and up.

RE: changing background color

Right click, pick options, click on the display tab (upper left) click on the Colors button. Under content pick 2d model space or Sheet/Layout depending on what you're working in. Under Interface element pick Uniform background and finally under color change to black.

Thanks to both of you.  I got.  I prefer the model background black and the paper space white.  Seems best that way.  Thanks again.

SrG.
