sketcher trim problem

sketcher trim problem

sketcher trim problem

(OP)
I am using Wildfire 2.0 and when I trim entities, the resulting lines do not join at the "cut". I have to impose a coincindent constraint. Does anyone have a clue what I am talking about? PLEASE HELP!. Its driving me crazy

RE: sketcher trim problem

Which trim are you using?  There is a "dynamic trim" where you just wave the mouse around & it cuts every thing it crosses & the old fashioned trim where you have to select the entities to trim one pair at a time.  I've had problems with the "dynamic trim" not giving common endpoints.  Go back with the old fashioned trim & it should fix your problem.  I almost never use the dynamic trim for this reason.

dgallup, I always use the dynamic trim but most of the time there is never a problem.

RE: sketcher trim problem

I see the same thing occasionally even in WF4. I've never tried to determine whether it's repeatable or not.  I just use the "corner" function to make them coincident when it happens.
