drafting key-lock question

drafting key-lock question

drafting key-lock question

(OP)
Doing a lot of drafting , dimensioning with the automatic dimensioning - there are several key like the arrow keys for text below above etc, or the t key for tolerancing. Or the use of the alt key inside the active dimension. What I m looking for is the lock of the active alignment in the display - is there a key to lock ?

RE: drafting key-lock question

I know how to temporarilly disable the active alignment, by holding the Alt key down, I find that very useful when I'm dimension and adding notes that are all trying to snap to one another dagnabbit!!!

Best regards

RE: drafting key-lock question

simon , alt is ok - but what about dimensioning a chamfer like edge in most times it is flipping while dragging between horizonal and perpeticular or the needed aligned to chamfer edge - it would be nice to lock one state like the automatic constraint in sketch hitting the MB2 while dragging. Those nice little things...
thx to all agree with me winky smile

RE: drafting key-lock question

For the times when the dimension is flipping around, I click when it shows the dim I want then drag it into place. Clicking to place the dimension locks it in.
