Creating Threads Problem

Creating Threads Problem

Creating Threads Problem

(OP)
I have one machine out of 15 that I cannot create a threaded hole or shaft with. I used the same install image across the network.

Any ideas?

RE: Creating Threads Problem

Do you have Excel loaded on that machine?  It is needed to read the Thread and Hole specification spreadsheet.  If you do, which version do you have?  I think it needs to be 2003 or 2007 but can't quite recall if it works with 2000 anymore.

Yes. I have 2003 installed and working. I can open the Thread Spec spreadsheet.

RE: Creating Threads Problem

Is there anything unique about that machine?  Hardware or Software?  Did you turn off the Antivirus before deployment?  Have you tried a local repair of the installation or a re-deployment?

RE: Creating Threads Problem

You can modify the Threads.xls file for custom threads. You need to have all the info: major, minor, tap and pitch diameters etc.  When you get into the file you'll see what you need.  There might be another problem in that you will have to replace your file with an unmodified one (just overwrite).
