Plot labels - adjusting font size

Plot labels - adjusting font size

Plot labels - adjusting font size

(OP)
hi,
I am quite new to Mathcad. i am using Mathcad to provide me with plots which i then import, via Visio, into MS Word.

My  question is, is there any way to increase the label font size, without increasing the other text size? You will see from the attached file that the voltage levels are quite unclear - i am having to change them into tiff files, the turn them into jpegs, but in doing so the image seems to have lost its quality. is there anyway to import the directly from Mathcad? Or any way to maintain the quality?

Thanks
Ben

RE: Plot labels - adjusting font size

Why are you converting them to tiff, then to jpeg?

Usually when I import Mcad into MS Office, I [ctrl-left click] the graph, "copy", then "paste special", and paste in as metafile.

I don't think too many people will argue that Mathcad's plotting capabilities are a bit archaic.

I usually copy the data into Excel and plot in Excel.

The reason why I'm converting tiff to jpeg is that I need them to be tiff files as i have to overlay one image over another (and make the 'top' image 50% transparent. I could not achieve this with any format but tiff). I use Visio to do this - therefore I cannot cut/paste special straight into MS Office

The conversion to jpeg is to bring the file size down (the final document contains maybe 14 of such images, and the resulting document size was far too large).

RE: Plot labels - adjusting font size

I see, thanks for the clarification.

Assuming you're using Mcad 12,13, or 14 I agree with IRstuff that it is best to use something other than Mcad for graphing (Mcad 11 had very powerful graphing capabilities that were unfortunately dropped in Mcad 12).

If you do want to use Mcad graphs, one thing you can try is go to Format menu > Equation > Style Name > Constants > Modify.  Then change the font properties.  This will change the plot labels, unfortunately it will also change all the other constants in the worksheet though.
