Coalescer? Water Removal From Hydrocarbon Stream Required.

(OP)
Dear All, I am in a bit of a quandary. sad

I need to remove water from a flowing hydrocarbon stream but all the usual suppliers cant seem to do it due to the amount of water and flow rate required from the clean outlet. (Pall, Parker etc)

Process: Stabilised Condensate
Process Temperature: 40-61ºC
Process Density: 785 kg/m3 @ 40ºC to 766 kg/m3@ 61.4ºC
Process Pressure: 12 Barg
Connection Preference: ½"
Inlet Process Flow Rate: 3 Litres / Min
Wetted Parts: 316 SS preferred
Outlet Process Clean (Free Water Removed) Flow Rate: 1-2 Litres / Min
Outlet Process Drain (Mostly Free Water) Flow Rate: 1-2 Litres / Min

The pressure drop needs to be low – below a bar if possible. And the unit ideally needs to fit into a space window of 400mm square.

The key number is the sample water content which is 30 to 65 mol% (6 to 18wt%)

Can any of you fine engineers suggest a supplier or solution?

Bottom line I want a continuous flow of hydrocarbon free of free water at 1-2 L/M from a inlet flow of 3 L/M

Any q's let me know!! smile

Engineers like to solve problems. If there are no problems handily available, they will create their own problems.
