ISO Lock washer?
ISO Lock washer?
(OP)
Sorry I'm a little new, I suppose.
Just wondering if there's such thing as an ISO lock washer, and if there is, what it's ## is. In Solidworks toolbox, there is no such thing. Our eng. dept. uses ISO standard hardware, except lock washers... but perhaps Solidworks is just missing it?
Thanks

RE: ISO Lock washer?
What does your supplier send you? As far as I can tell, most metric hardware here in Canada is DIN, not ISO.
If you search Eng-Tips for information on lock washers, you may find a simpler resolution to your problem. The consensus seems to be that they do not work. Use a flat washer if you can, and make sure the screw is torqued down properly.

I don't know of any ISO specs; and neither do your engineering department. Would it not be wiser to find out what they do use?
While we rarely use lock washers, DIN 127 as Jeurgen suggests, would be worthwhile looking at.
