Creating a Pattern of a Slot Containing a Center Point:

Creating a Pattern of a Slot Containing a Center Point:

(OP)
To whom it may concern:

What I would like to do is to create a single Pattern of a slot that contains the center point of the same slot that can later be used to position hardware in the Product and to dimension to in the Drawing.

I already know how to use the "Reuse Pattern" in the Assembly Design Workbench and the "Axis Line and Centerline" in the Drafting Workbench. Best way I have found so far is to create two patterns one for the slot and one for the point and tie all the values together with formulas. Currently running R17 tested in R19 to see if Dassault Systemes increased functionally no success.

Seams so simple, anyone have any ideas?

Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated; samples and examples you are willing to share would be terrific!

Thank You in Advance

RE: Creating a Pattern of a Slot Containing a Center Point:

1. make a sketch with all the centerpoints

2. make one of the slots (pocket) centered on one of the centerpoints. Use a User Defined Pattern to copy the slot to all the other centerpoints

3. Reuse Pattern to place other component in all the slots.
