I am not up on my sheet metal functions.  Beyond the simple tabs and bends I tend to be pretty plain.

I was asked to design/model some wire crimps and have questions regarding the designs.  I see serrations and compound bends.  Is this not a sheetmetal design?  or is it possible?

Specifically, the serrations run along a bend.  The insulator end has compound bends to form this area.

use sheet metal when a flat pattern is needed to make the part.

Hi

I wouldn't worry to much about using sheetmetal for this part, unless your toolmaker requires a flat pattern, even then it would be tricky to get SE to flatten.
Looking at the part it lends itself to being stamped or pressed. These are usually from a continious coil of material feed in to a press of some sort. Any press tool designer would be able to accomodate your needs.
