LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

(OP)
WHICH IS THE LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII??

Thanks,

RE: LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

Edition 2007. The next edition wil be published on July 1, 2010.

RE: LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

Keep in mind that if a purchase order was issued today, the current required version of ASME VIII would be 2007 Edition with 2008 Addenda; the 2009 Addenda is optional until 1 Jan 2010 when it becomes mandatory.

RE: LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

ROMEUM2, there hasn't been a LAST edition yet, just a latest (2007):)

Regards,

Mike

RE: LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

What is the correct way of specifying ASME VIII with 2009 addenda in documents/drawings etc.

ASME VIII:2007 inc A09 Div 1?

ASME VIII:2009 Div 1?

RE: LAST EDITION OF ASME VIII

Or other abbreviations. There isn't an "official" guideline on abbreviations. The shortest I'd be comfortable with is VIII-1 A09. Kind of hard to have the '09 Addenda without the '07 Edition, so I feel that it is not necessary to mention the edition, but it doesn't hurt.
