Blast Doors : Analyzing with Horizontal Stiffners

Blast Doors : Analyzing with Horizontal Stiffners

(OP)
Hi :

I am currently working on a project where I have a design a blast door. I am following TM5-1300 Manual to design the same.

The loading is such that using a monolithic plate of 2" does not meet the customer requirements. I cannot use a thicker plate. So the only option left is to have horizontal stiffeners on the doors, but the issue is I do not know how to include the effect of horizontal stiffeners in my analysis. Does TM5-1300 talks about technique use to anaylse doors with horizontal stiffners ?

Thanks
