RE: Tres Amigas superconducting DC project

I wonder how the facility filters out "green" power from other colors.

How does this differ from a AC/DC/AC back-to-back conversion station other than in the amount of hype?

My thoughts as well.

Obviously Power is power. I suppose the owner can decide how much power goes to and from each port. The "green" aspect is just an accounting function.

Combining "green" energy and superconductors... Smells like a taxpayer money-pit. I wonder if it's really any more than an idea at this point.
