Does anyone have any reliability/availability data for underwater vehicles (or preferably, autonomous underwater vehicles)? I'm looking at vehicles that operate in littoral (shallow) waters, say to 250 meters, and are capable of independent or programmable operation. Umbilical ROV machine data may also be applicable.
The type of data I'm after would include MTBF, MART and availability of components or functional blocks as well as whole systems.
If anyone has such data they are willing to share, or can point me toward suitable publications, academic institutions or databases it will be very useful.

That gives me a good start - thanks very much.

RE: reliable AUVs

You will find explanations on the site of ECA :
ECA designed and realized autonomous underwater vehicles as ALISTER.
