Wiring in industrial environment reference book
(OP)
Hello,
I would like to ask if somebody could recommend me some reference book about wiring in industrial environment ( especially low voltage switch gears and machinery ) in US and/or IEE environment. For the general rules and buildings I have NEC handbook and IEE wiring regulations book. I have purchased "Cables and Wiring" from John Cadick and AVO international -2nd edition as well. But the last mentioned is describing the cabling in general and it is more focused on distribution power cables than on cable types used in the switch gears.
Gabriel.

waross: I am mostly in European EN and IEC environment but I would like to get partial insight also in US. At the moment I would like to get more insight to the types of the US cables and their construction. This would be necessary for me to determine the European cross reference cable to the UL style or other cable types ( MTW, TEW, etc. ) for the designs originated in US.
For example the harmonized European cables the materials and structure can be determined from the description ( i.e. http://ww
The wiring rules would be only for my future use to create predictive wiring ( routing, harnessing, etc. ) which should be applied with minimal or no modification for global products fulfilling the IEEE requirements as well.
Gabriel.

It sounds like your main interest is internal wiring in control panels, etc? That is governed by the standards applying to each type of equipment.
