I have come across primary D, Y, YN etc and secondary d, y, yn, z etc. Similairly no problem with the clock hour, but...

So a transformer with dual secondary windings is specified as Ddoyn11.

D for the primary Delta

doyn ? what is this meant to signify for the secondaries.

11 for the clock hour

Dd0:
Delta connected HV winding, delta connected LV winding, no phase shift between HV and LV.

Dyn11:
Delta connected HV winding, star connected LV winding with neutral brought out, LV is leading HV with 30°

A Dd0yn11 transformer has one primary winding (D) and two secondary windings, a delta wound (d),and a star wound (y). The n means that the neutral is "brought out" and can be used as a neutral on a per phase basis. And you are correct the 0 means that the d is 0 degrees out of phase with the Primary. The 11 means that the star winding (y) is 30 degrees out of phase with hte primary.

If the voltages on the secondary side are the same, these transformers are usually used in conjunction with a rectifier to give a smooth DC output. These are mainly used for electric rail purposes
