Center of gavity of a person

(OP)

I am looking for info of how to find the center of gravity of a person in different possitions.  I want to know how it moves and where it is for differnt possitions such as being in a kayak paddleing seated possition and leaning out of a small sailboat for heeling effect.  Are there tables or formulas for this kind of thing?

RE: Center of gavity of a person

Saint,
You could look at the Human Factors Design Handbook (McGraw Hill) Chapter 4.  There are also computer programs that allow you to position the body and even import your CAD data.  I'm familiar with Mannequin by HumanCAD but there are others. Hope this helps
