Kind Greetings,

I ve searched the web looking for detailed design example for reinforced concrete bridge using BS 5400 & BD 3/88. AASHTO website has been helpful but not to BS 5400/BD 3/88

We are involved in bridge design project and we need stuffs like design Manual , Handbook or Detailed design example to assist us in the project.

Please, kindly help us with referrals or websites where we can find DETAILED DESIGN EXAMPLE of Reinforced Concrete   T-Beam Bridge.

RE: Bridge Design to BS 5400

nurhforward,
If you are not familiar with the concepts and methods used to design bridges and want an example to basically follow. I think you need to ask yourself whether your Company should undertake such a design. Better to employ a qualified, experienced and competent Bridge design engineering company.

RE: Bridge Design to BS 5400

I agree with DSB123;  We are a profession that demands self-restraint while working towards professional knowledge and skill enhancement.  I believe your best course of action would be to employ/cooperate with a (much) more local engineer experienced in the work you are planning to undertake.

Besides which I do not believe I know of any "how to" books based on BS 5400.

Good Luck,
