redraw problem

redraw problem

redraw problem

(OP)
I just started to use SolidWorks adn I noticed right away that some lines of the scetch appear and dissappear as they please.  I can correct it manually by pressing CTRL-R every second but it gets annoying when working on a serious project...

Is there a solution to this?

thank you,

RE: redraw problem

Of course there is...
Right click on the toolbar, choose customize/commands and drag the 'redraw' icon to your chosen toolbar.
Bye the way, if you searched the help topics for 'redraw' it would brobably come up with this answer - it is a very poweful tool.

However, I experience the same problem sometimes and it is due to the graphic card i am using - not much to do about that, though U can change the vie to wireframe or hidden in gray to improve it.

Graphics Card problem.............

RE: redraw problem

MadMnago most likely hit it on the head.  9 out of 10 times getting the latest a greatest driver for that card will solve the issue.

some AMD processors require a patch to run properly... i used SolidWorks 2001 on machines with and without the patch - identical hardware and OS - and the redraw speed is instantaneous on the patched one (small assemblies)
